Advice and Guidance

With a well-founded understanding of the planning process and development issues, we advise clients on a wide range of matters. As an independent practise, we are able to offer unbiased advice to clients and to act for them. This means that our clients' best interests are always served in matters such as alternative uses for buildings, the most beneficial use of land, or the extent of an acceptable limitation on an activity. Where specialist input is required, on noise or structural matters for example, we are able to involve the appropriate professionals. We take pride in discussing issues with clients in straightforward terms free of technical jargon.
As well as advising clients, we also guide and assist clients who wish to take a more active role in matters. For instance, clients facing enforcement of planning control and sending a Lawful Development Certificate sometimes prefer to gather and present information themselves under our guidance. In similar vein, we have dealt with initial discussions with Housing Associations on behalf of developers prior to planning applications being made when the developer has taken over.
